Hi everyone, I just brought home a 9 week old baby boy 5 days ago!

I got him from a breeder, so this is his first time away from his litter.

I got him a crate, a toy and coushin and but it in the crate but he would just cry HARD for hours straight. I figured that is not healthy for him so I stopped putting him in there. He just seems to follow me around and want to sleep with me at night, which I also don't believe can be good either.

SO, I finally thought maybe the crate wasnt as comfortable as it could be and but a TOWEL on the bottom of it. I did this today, and as he went in, HISELF, I gave him a pebble of his food everytime he went in and out.
I eventually closed the door, he cried for all of 2 minutes and has been sleeping in there for the past hour.

Is this pattern going to be successful and is it healthy?
