I'm sure this is really dorky for me to do but.. I googled the error code and it seems like some ppl were able to "fix" it. Not sure if you threw it away already but if you want to give it another try, here's the link:

Batteryheadbill <--- this is the post you want to read which is about half way down the page. Another common suggestion I saw was to just purchase a new tank and replace.
As for HP... I used to be a HP printer fan but their products doesn't seem as sterdy as it used to be. I'm happier with Brother's printers now. But then... I only have experience with office printers so hopefully, yours will last you MUCH longer.
