 Hi and Update
Hi all my wonderful friends.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Thanks so much for your concern for Cassie and me. Cassie continues to do very well. She is still sleeping in her stroller or in my bed until her new special orthopedic beds arrive.. I do have her with me at all times. She is recovering from a UTI but otherwise is doing quite well. Just to clarify, Cassie did not gain a whole pound (LOL). After checking, it seems the doctor read the scale wrong, she thought Cassie weighed 2 pounds 11 Ounces rather than 2.1pounds. Nevertheless, she is back up to her regular weight and sometimes beyond her 2.4 pounds. Her appetite is very good, although she likes eating only Gerber Baby Food Chicken Flavor at this time. Also very good news on the "severe pulmonary hypertension" front. I took her to another specialist team of Doctors, one of which is an internist. He and his partner did another echo, and this time the results were glaringly different. They held her gently and quietly throughout the echo, kept her warm and wrapped in a blanket and gently caressed her during the testing procedure. The results were startling and telling. I was told by both doctors that there was no sign whatsoever of severe pulmonary hypertension. They say they do not know how the discrepancy between the two echoes, but clearly their echo shows absolutely no pulmonary hypertension. So of course we are all thrilled to pieces.
