I can so relate to your post. I have been in your shoes, almost exactly. We got Barney when our first yorkie, Charlie, died. It was almost exactly as you described, even the stomach issues. Give your new baby time to adjust. Barney hid out in his carrier the first few weeks we had him. We literally had to bribe him to come out and play. I can remember wondering if he would ever bond with us. Guess what....he did!!!! Chill (your words, lol)....it will get better. Give this baby a chance. It's a hard job for a little puppy to try to fill the big shoes of a beloved lost pet.
