My JRT is getting his teeth cleaned, and a few extractions this Thursday. I actually have no idea how many teeth he'll need removed, because they are pretty bad, worse than I originally thought. The secretary at the Vet office, told me if they have to remove more then 10 teeth, then they will not charge me after the 10th tooth..so if they removed 15 teeth, they would only charge for 10 teeth. He is about 10yrs old, so he also needs a blood tests which costs $110, $68 X-ray, and $80 for the cleaning. I was told depending on the tooth that needs to be extracted it can cost anywhere from $5-$36/per tooth. So the whole estimate is $350+.. I have saved up around $1200...hoping it will be enough. Does the price sound reasonable, do you think $1200 will be enough? What will happen if it's more than $1200?! By the way, after my JRT gets his teeth done, Zoey goes in for her first dental cleaning. Her teeth aren't very bad, as she's always chewed on bones. But I want to be safe than sorry.
