Teddy's hair isn't cotton but but not silky either. He is a Yorkie/bichon mix so it is a little different.
Are the blades on sale on this same site?

Momo has soft cottony thick hair that sticks out, never lays flat, so it makes him look fat (loll), it also tangles easily. I use a 7FC in the summer & 5FC when it cools down. I like to grow their hair in the winter time. I ordered the 6FC, it's between the 2 blades above, so you can use that year-round, also on Teddy. You don't need combs if you prefer 1/2-1/4" cuts, but yes they're the kind that snap over the blade. Here's all the andis items on clearance:
