We were down to 14 last night but tonight here near Dallas we're only going down to 19! I forgot and turned my thermostat down very low yesterday since it was hot in the house and woke up to the below 60 degree house this morning with an ERCOT warning on TV and Twitter that Encore might have to start rolling blackouts due to a power emergency while I was trying to warm up my house! It was FREEZING in here and I was really praying the central heat could get it warmed up before they turned off the power for 45 - 60 minutes! But thankfully, in an hour they got more power from nearby and got the problem fixed and rescinded the power emergency alert though we are urged to keep our thermostats at 68 when home, lower when we leave. But here in Texas we're not in the dangerous temps like so many are - saying prayers for everyone who is. Hope everyone here is staying safe and warm and keeping those babies in the house where it's warm.
