I have a 5year old girl that has colitis whenever she eats beef, think it's dietary-related for her. When she has an episode, it's the same mucus & blood in poop...never thought there could be a mass in the colon (I don't think that's the case for Princess, but it's good to know).

Deuce was 6 in October. It would start with a little mucus and by the next day there would be traces of blood. Our vet did treat him for colitis with an antibiotic (name escapes me now) but by the second day of treatment poop would be cleared up. We would finish the meds, but by 10 - 14 days later the same symtoms would appear. That when he referred us to a specialist that did the scope.
