It comes w/a #10 blade. This blade is good for sanitary trims, underbelly, ear tipping (only the flat part, don't run it down the edge of their ear or the skin will get caught on it, use blunt tipped scissors for that) & cutting through mats that are to the skin. They also have some andis blades on sale. I ordered the #6FC blade. On the other link (want to groom @ home), it describes ea/blade. The 6FC is going to leave a longer cut than the 7FC which is 1/8", but be shorter than the 5FC which leaves 1/4". So it will be between those 2 sizes 1/6"? I'm really bad @ math, # illiterate (loll) & have no idea what amount of hair it will leave.
The #40 is also on clearance. This is the blade that's on peanut clippers (but these small clippers are loud). It's good for tipping ears (flat part), under the paws, so is #30, but you can still use the #10 only if your Lilah is silky haired. It's great to use under combs which is also on clearance, I would get the small set. You can also use #30 or #10 under combs. #40 is a surgical blade, what the vet uses to shave off the hair b4 operation.
So must have is
#10, which comes w/the blade.
#30 or #40 for under paws or under combs, but you can use #10 too.
#4FC or 5FC (good for silky hair), 6FC will be good too) or 6FC or 7FC (good for soft cottony thick hair, will leave a smooth finish), depending on how long or short you want their body to be during hot months...that is if you're not going to grow Lilah's hair.

If you're going to grow her hair, all you need is the #10 blade & maybe a #30 or #40 or get the small peanut clipper.
