I am getting to know my first yorkie mix puppy also! I have had a few dogs though.
As far as feeding goes, I think it becomes a matter of preference. I like to have scheduled feedings so their poops are on schedule (makes it easier for me, especially having multiple dogs).
It have heard it is important to feed a yorkie pup 3-4 times a day, and make sure she eats, even if you have to hand-feed her (which I have had to do with Scout on a few occasions) because they get hypoglycemic.
