Welcome to YT, Angelidiluce! Higgin's Mom's suggestion sounds good to me! We had Toto spayed at 8 months. Our vet said because she is so small [4 lbs. now at 14 1/2 months] that the "6 month spay rule" didn't necessarily apply and since we were out of town that it would be OK to wait. We planned to have her spayed even before we bought her ... we were not interested in having babies nor showing her although she is purebred and has an impressive pedigree. We just wanted the best Yorkie baby we could find! Unless you are planning to have babies, I would definitely have her spayed. I have never owned a female that wasn't ... it would seem to me that it would just too problematic to have one that goes into heat. Good luck!
