Honestly if you don't think you can afford it I would give it back. I can tell you the pup is definitely from a bad breeder if it was sold to be given as a gift and by the fact it was taken away from its mom before 12 weeks so I'm sure this breeder did not do any health or genetic testing and probably doesn't know the history of there lines so even if this puppy seems healthy now it might not be in the future and it might not be until 2 years old when it starts showing problems. Luxatting Patella seems to be running high these days and that can be around $3,000 a knee for surgery. Also the first year of a puppies life is very expensive all the shots and all the necessary things to buy that it will need plus getting the pup fixed.
