My engagement ring is definitely not the usual for this area...it's a traditional Irish engagement ring called a claddaugh. My husband had it shipped in from Dublin. I like it a lot because everything has a specific meaning. The heart stands for love, the hands are for friendship, and the crown is for loyalty. So overall, it means, "friendship, love, and loyalty". I attached a pic for you. The bracelet is also the claddaugh. I just got it for Valentine's Day. Anyway, I think you should pick a ring that is special for you and your husband, whatever it happens to be!!!
