Thanks for allowing me to "lurk" in the weeks that we were awaiting the arrival of our parti girl, Gracie. Things have changed so much since we welcomed our first yorkie over seventeen years ago that I feel much the same way as I do listening to new moms talk about parenting! It is a wonder that our children survived to adulthood!

Mercy, who was a member of the family until her passing in November of 2012, was dearly loved, but as the fourth "child", learned to take turns rather well. I am trying to socialize Gracie so that she will be as pleasant and easygoing, and so far she is doing well. She has been very accepting of our grandson and other children who visit. She takes trips in the bye-bye bag, and has managed to handle visits by our children's dogs quite well--she lets them know that they are in her house!

Again, many thanks for your accumulated wisdom and expertise.

Janet and Grace
