Do you have a garage? I have a friend with a strictly outdoor trained dog who will use the pad when necessary in the garage. To the dog, it's not in the house.
My second boy was strictly outdoor trained when we brought him home at 8 months. He was willing to pee on the pad, but he didn't want to poop indoors. I had to pen him and sit with him until he did it. Admittedly, it was a sad experience because he was so desperate to go outside. When he saw how happy I was and that I took care of cleaning it up right away, then he was fine with it. |
I was going to suggest the same thing. Try your garage if you have one. Both of you will be happy. Galen is pad trained when we got him. And I trained him to go outside. I tell him go pee pee or poopy. And he actually does it on command lol, if he has to. I try not to use the pads but sometimes I do. He does not like poop on his pad and he will bark at me, if I am home, until I pick it up. Silly quirky Biewer lol
