not sure of the type of place you live in, my Lola is 5.5 lbs and only does her outside and that is fine with me, she does not seem to mind the snow at all. I take her out my front door and she goes right down the steps and does her business. My husband will often shovel a path and clean off some of the grass, but LOL she often by passes the shoveled area and heads for the snow. If you try to make her regress to the house she might start having accidents. Most yorkies will not break if they get a little snowy, just look at Alaska Mike's photos of his Jilly and Eddie, they romp in the snow and have a blast.
