it's not even a week, it's will take longer than that but it sounds like it is really going well, so just keep doing what you are doing and little by little more exposure will. I am not an expert but what about putting the crate in the doggie room and perhaps Eva's bed next to the crate, this would give them the felling of being near each other a lot but safely. My friend just had a new kitten spayed and that is what she did, she kept the kitten in a crate and now her older cat has gotten closer to the crate and it has seemed to help.
