Hey Everyone! I know I have not posted very often, but I am definitely a daily lurker

I have a 18 month old Female Shorkie, Eva.. who I've had since she was a puppy. This weekend, we just adopted a rescue Yorkie, male who is also 18 months. They come from very different worlds. She is spoiled, pampered, only knows love... and unfortunately the Yorkie (Buddy) has been abused. He already loves & trusts me and my Fiance. He is so sweet, he loves to cuddle, is potty trained, and so sweet. However, i'm having some trouble with him & Eva getting along all of the time. Currently when we're gone he is in a seperate room in a crate, and Eva is in her puppy room with the door shut (full size room full of toys, etc where she stays everyday). I wanted SO badly to have them both in the puppy room together alone but there is no way yet. Buddy is not used to other dogs due to his situation, and Eva will try to play with him by barking, or batting him with her paw, and I think he sees it as a threat and starts to growl, then she growls, they sometimes try to snap, etc. The weird thing is, they both sleep in our bed all night and do not bother each other. And the fighting only happens a couple times a day- otherwise they are fine together. Do you think they just need time to adjust?? Any suggestions or stories from when any of you added a second Yorkie and taught them to bond?? I really need some hope! Thank you so much
Katie
