Dogs are considered property & by law if you find property NOT belonging to you , you are required by law to turn it into the police OR in this case the local shelter OR place a public add witch would be in the news paper lost/found section . If you place an add you need to get a copy of it, if you see someone with your dog then you will need to prove it's your dog and that you ran a public add that he was lost/stolen. I'll be praying for his safe return. Also you must check shelters in person & do NOT just call to ask if they have a dog fitting your dogs description as too many times the shelter workers mislabel dogs breeds, in other words too many don't know a Pitbull from ShihTzu.

We have gone to the shelters every day that they have been open, and we are going to the shelters in Northern Orange County tomorrow. Iv'e also gone to all the vets in the area with his picture and description, as well as the groomers and pet stores and dog parks. The police officer said he would take a report of a lost dog, but thats all that he could do. I haven't gone to the paper, but an overwhelming amount of people at my work have asked for fliers to copy and pass out. I am praying that something works, but I am losing faith quickly.
