What grade did your vet say your dog has? Luxating patellas are so common In toy breeds that's its hard to completely rid your lines of the Problem. I personally have my dogs patellas OFA certified but know its hard to get all perfect patellas all the time. I do guarantee against high-grade luxating patellas requiring surgery but not all breeders do. If a breeder is producing a lot of grade 3 and 4s then they definitely need to re-evaluate their breeding program in my opinion.
