This IS the BEST advice..... It'll be difficult to accept at first.... but it is the right thing to do.... Consult with your vet about long term prognosis.... future complications are probable instead of just possible. Vets may tend to try and soften what is likely to happen... ask them to be painfully honest... they might comply.
