I wouldn't drop it. I had a Lhasa who had a small hernia that my vet didn't want to operate on until it got larger. I told the groomer about it and asked her to be careful trimming her underside. When I picked Muffin up, they had cut her where the hernia was. I was furious about it and they just flipped me off with "we can't watch for every little bump". I never went back there again. That is just plain cruelty if you ask me.
