Invest in the book How to housebreak your puppy in 7 days. You can get it as a kindle download on Amazon. Do not expect it to work perfectly in 7 days, but it is effective. My 6 year old rescue was housetrained over the summer using the book's methods. The only difference is, I did not put her in a crate because she gets extreme anxiety. I put her in a playpen. I potty trained her and Barney who was 5 months at the time. The only time they have accidents now is when it is raining outside. Diva can't get her feet wet
. I don't think it is too late but you have to be diligent. I have also read about several people who have had success with the puppy apartments. That just wasn't an option for us because of the cage issue.
