 Ruptured Knee
Need Advice. My little 13 year old boy ruptured his knee Christmas Morning, he slipped while walking across a piece of Christmas paper. I feel Like an idiot and terrible mom for not having the wrap in trash can.
He could barely walk Christmas day and night; took him to vet on Thurs.
Can't go on anti inflamatories due to pancreatitis.
other options are to let it heal on it's own. Artheritis may develop and he may damage the other knee due to using it too much.
Surgery $1500. May still end up with the same problems that he has without surgery or may provide some relief.
Either way I don't think he will ever be back to normal; long walks, and jumping like a wild man.
I love him so much; he really is my heart.
Anyone have this experience: What did you do?
Please offer advice; I really need it.
