I think the soft cone will be better, they can still drink & eat if they want to. W/the blow up style, they can't reach the bowl bc of the inflation between them. It's great for grooming tho! We use it for kitty cats.
I never put onesies on my guys...but they never licked the incision. It was done so well & the suture was inside & dissolvable. I had a hard time keeping Momo calm, he was running around & jumping the next morning! I had to carry him around.
How old is Gizmo now? All the threads going on in YT about waiting til the growth plates close is very true. Momo also had grade 1 on 1 of his knee & he didn't get neutered til he was a year old. Not by choice, but he had an obstruction from eating a queen palm tree fruit along w/the seed. He had to have 2 colonoscopies & the surgery to remove the seed & he went under 3 x's. He was 7 months old, so I wanted to wait to put him under again. Now when the vet checks his knee, it doesn't budge. I also gave him cosequin for about 2 years. |
