Wow that is awful, he must be in a hospital near me. We were fine but a lot of people in other parts of Waterford and Clarkston lost power and for several days. One thing about this area is that a lot of homeowners own generators since it happens often. I would say that 85% of our neighborhood owns a generator and many of them are wired right into their homes. If the power goes out for 5 mins the generator starts right up, we don't have that system, but the one we have can run most of our house.
Generators can cause accidents though and are loud, in the summer if we loose power the noise is really noticeable.
