Out of my three other fur babies, mostly Miah & Quincy (Brandi's Parents) have taken her passing the worse. I cant even begin to tell you how much they miss her. So much so that they refused to lay in the doggy bed that she slept in. Normally there would be the three of them piled in there. They go upstairs and search my room for her. Miah was in shock the second night after, shivering uncontrollably, eyes dilated going to each one of us for comfort, I could see tears in her eyes. Than poor Quincy just wonders around confused peering into the doggy bed and looking at me with his sad eyes. We did everything we could to comfort them. Ruby our youngest is doing ok but she didn't have that same connection with her that Miah & Quincy shared.

I knew that they would miss her but I never knew it would be to this extent. It just breaks my heart seeing them like that. But they too need time to morn her loss and I guess like we do they have their own way of doing so. They seem to be dealing with it a little better than they were, thank goodness.
Thanks for sharing the heartbreak of the other precious ones you have. It is amazing to know how they were so attached, loved each other and now there is the missing link. May time heal all of your broken hearts. Nice that you all have each other... dogs included here. It brings to mind a poem that we chose for my dad's memory cards:
We little knew that morning,
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
