I had to have Kai put to sleep wed. The Vet told me she was in acute juevinile renal failure. Her BUN and Creatine levels where so high that she was in serious kidney failure. Has anyone heard of this before? She was 14 months old. The vet says it usually happens around 1 year , it's commmon in this breed and that it could be genitc or it could be a fluke. I am so destroyed over this. I have a 6 month old boy from some of the same blood lines that they want to test now. I have not been able to find anyone who knows anything about this , and the Vet had terrible bed side manners. She told me to hurry up and decide what I was going to do for Kai because she wanted to go eat her lunch. My husband and I feel like we have lost our child , and I feel like the Vet did not give us enough of a good bye.......
