My ole Girl had seizures her whole life. Not real bad ones, but they were uncomfortable to watch. I never gave her the medicine, made her too loopy. I really believe the seizures were brought on by her cheap food and vaccinations (I know, big controversy). Once I started feeding her raw the seizures stopped and she lived 2 more years.
I don't think there is a test to determine why these dogs have seizures. As long as there is no underlying condition (tumors), then there isn't any reason to worry about them. This is only my opinion after 16 years of owning a poodle that had them for no apparent reason.
And not seeing her but from your description and my experience with the seizure meds, her stumbling is from the meds, not the seizures.
