We got our adorable Yorkie pup less than a month ago. He was just under 2 lbs. Today he weighed in at 2.6 lbs! We were told that would be approximately his adult weight. He's a week shy of six months (25 weeks today). I have been afraid of hypoglycemia, so I may be feeding him a tad too much, but am not sure how to gauge. He's not a big fan of kibble. So the breeder said to leave kibble available--(good luck with another (slightly jealous) dog in the house... ) He gets a small blob of canned food or cooked meat 2x a day, a spoonful of yogurt, a spoonfull of pumpkin, some greenbeans and treats for training which I break into super tiny pieces.
He's always ready to eat anything except kibble. I was also trying to find a semi moist pellet food, so I could do the "Learn to Earn" program (by Dr. Sophia Yin)

.
Any words of wisdom from our Yorkie gurus out there? Is this a normal weight gain? He was super tiny until we brought him home. So tiny the breeder kept him a few extra months (and charged quite a premium--his siblings were twice his size, both parents were over 5 lbs).
