You need someone who can help you weigh the odds of what's better for your pup...spay and termination of pregnancy or going through with the pregnancy with possible risk of sedation during c-section...and you need someone who either a.)specializes in reproduction and/or b.) someone who is very familiar with birthing/breeding smaller dogs.

You aren't just dealing with sedation issues and a first time pregnancy of an older dog...you are also dealing with it in a small breed, which can bring on a whole slew of issues in itself.

Out of curiosity, how much does your female weigh...and how much does your male weigh?? Are they both yorkies??

If your female isn't big enough, or the male is a lot bigger than her, there's even a greater risk of the puppies being too big to pass and needing a c-section.
