I do my banking on the internet and check it every day, only because I pay for great protection and have never had a problem in all the time I have been doing it this way. I did not shop at Target but it's the next store that will come up been hit that we have to guard ourselves against.

I pretty much limit mine to Amazon.com and Macy's but I think I will stop shopping at Macy's or use my visa there and limit it to one card, a department store card charges more interest and not smart of me to use it anyway.

I bet Amazon.com has called in the best in the world to overlook this mess that could some day be theirs if they don't put some 'stops' on it.

As far as banks go, I really like Chase, they have always been more than fair with me and can't complain now. Since they will refund anything a customer will lose because of this when many banks will not, they can't have people pulling out just any amount they want. I agree though, it is harder at this time of year.
