Mine is very sedate around the house. I sometimes wish he had a little more spunk at times but he is old. Mine may run to his bowl when I approach the kitchen. I try to walk mine daily for 3 miles. He does quite well for an old guy, off leash, either in front or behind me. When/if he tires, I carry him for a bit then set him down. It seems to recharge his batteries.
