Sophie Kate as the same reaction to lawn ornaments, in some cases actually attacking (think small GA Bulldog statue).

As part of her initial training package with Mans Best Friend I have a lifetime guarantee for additional training that is needed so off we went. Sophie learned the basic "touch command" where you tell her to touch something she is scared of, she will go up and touch it with her noise (slowly), that has helped a lot.

The touch command is something we practice almost daily as part of her daily commands. The way they taught me was you hold your hand up, palm facing the dog but not real close to their face and say "touch" or issue the command, they will come up and touch their nose to your hand (and she gets a treat). Trick to this training is not to move your hand to them but make them come to the hand.

It seems to be working, we still get barking and some fear but we use "Touch" to get past it.
