All of mine are chipped. Cali is getting hers today while she's getting spayed. Not one of them has ever given me reason to believe the chip bothers them at all. They might be a little tender the first day, but they have all bounced right back.
Collars can get lost or removed by an unscrupulous person. I want a permanent ID for my pups.
