Welcome To YT~I am so glad she's found you...I think terminating the pregnancy and spaying her was the best thing you could do for her!! She's probably been able to recover much quicker than she would have if you would've went through with having the puppies. They would have been a drain on her already fragile body.

I am sure you'll find lots of useful information here, including other owners experiences in dealing with collapsed trachea. Have you bought Tilly a harness yet?? I'd definitely make sure you get her a choke free one and never hook her collar to a leash. I use buddy belts on my boys and they seem to be a favorite here among yorkie lovers. Their collars are only used to hold their name tags. That's it.


Bless you for rescuing the little girl!! I have 2 rescue yorkies myself and there's nothing like it!! They are truly a blessing!!
