MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!! To all of us, actually, that you will be here for a long long time! |
Celstu1, you are so sweet, thank you. I am lucky that I don't look my age and my voice is young so people never guess it that way either. People tell me I'm young at heart I seen to find so many new things every to be interested in every day. People of my age are frightened of trying the computer as a rule and as you mentioned but I helped a 94 year old neighbor who was writing a book and knew how it could help her, it did. She was scared silly of the internet, one day she called and said "could we just go slow and show me a little" She loved poetry and was shocked she could get it there. I said let's start with just poetry and you can just imagine how shocked she was when she saw all there was to offer. Neighbors started asking were she was and I called her. She said, "Joan I am talking to poets all over the world' The book she wrote was poetry and finally had it published in her 90's with the help of people she met on the internet, so no one is too old to follow their dreams. The name of it is Seasoned Feathers by Elizabeth Toukonen. She is deceased now, however those that knew her well feel a part of her lives on with us anyway.
Merry Christmas to you as well.
