I think you were just defending the poor little girl. I was defensive about my girls tatoo until I found out the reason why my vet did it. I only wish I could have picked out a cute little heart or something other than an X. At first I thought they accidently cut her. I was furious that they didn't ask or tell me about it. I had to call when I noticed. Now its there and too late. I don't like it but it's all for the good of Hannah. Your friends pup will be fine if cared for properly. This thread will hopefully help others in the future. Thanks for posting! I had one of my rescues spayed about 2 weeks ago at a different vet office and she has no tatoo. I think I will see if my tattooing vet will take care of her when she needs a dental.
