Sounds like marking to me. I'd take him directly outside as soon as you let him out of his playpen, no stops or hesitation. Maybe carry him out so he doesn't have time to lift his leg. Give him time to walk around and get it all out. Some males just love to mark and have never met a tree or telephone pole they didn't like. If you don't have any trees nearby then try to walk him near something he can lift his leg near. If he gets it out of his system while outside he won't do it when he is inside.
If he isn't neutered yet then it might be a good time to get that taken care of since whole males tend to enjoy this past time more than the neutered ones. |
