This isn't a suprise to me. I was born in Germany and my mom has told me many times that at many german restraunts they like dogs over children. Though they weren't told not to bring me to a restraunt, they did get my unhappy looks from workers and customers. Thankfully I was a very quiet child but my mom said they were always asked to put me under the table like the would with dogs. My mom thinks that is one of the reasons I am so crazy about dogs we bonded on the floors of german restraunts.
I agree with Bruce's_Mom, places where adults were allowed only would be nice. I know Dave and Busters is suppose to be adult only after a certain time at night, but I can't tell you how many times I have been there and gotten ran into by kids who a)shouldn't be there and b) should be at home asleep at that time.

And personally I would love to see a few restraunts that would allow well behaved dogs. I think there would need to be some limits set but with more and more people haveing dogs as furry children it only makes since you would want to take them out to eat too.
