Last week I was looking around on a few dog forums that were not breed specific. I was shocked at the number of posts that made fun of Yorkies or had negative things to say about small dogs in general. There were so many references to people with small dogs that "dress them in designer clothing and carry them everywhere" or even worse--use STROLLERS!!! I find this attitude shocking because I always assumed that most people who love and have dogs love all (or most) dogs. I understand someone having a bad experience with a particular breed and then not liking that breed, but what is it about Yorkies that makes people so critical? A lot of what I'm seeing goes beyond annoyance to actual anger and hate of Yorkies. I just don't get it.
