I used to be a groomer and started the job as just a bather. You will pick it up quick! It's really easy once you get the hang of it. My biggest advice to all new parents is take your time with your puppy. Start with simple steps such as brushing and toenails. Get them used to you touching and messing with their feet, ears, and faces as puppies can sometimes try to be the boss and not let you do this. We would never give a puppy a haircut on their first visit. Just a trim so that they could slowly get used to the process. You can get good, quality clippers, scissors, and everything else you'll need at wholesale pricing from petedge.com. Like everyone else said, I'm sure there are lots of great youtube tutorials. Practice makes perfect and once you get the hang of it there are so many different ways you can groom your yorkie. We almost always have our four in completely different haircuts from each other! Haha
