Default Are these foods bad for him???

So I was having issues getting Franklin to eat, ate very little or barely any. So, I took some tips from the threads and added some "toppers", I have used shaved apple in the morning (about a table spoon) mixed with his kibble (I remove a few kibbles to make up for the added apple, and at dinner I have used sweet potatoes/yams with the same serving amount as the apple. It worked and he ate all up the past two days!
BUT today his stool was a little softer and he threw up! He has never done this before. Now is this because these two new foods are bad for him and he cannot tolerate OR is it because they are new to his body OR am I adding too much of these "toppers" OR could he just have eaten too fast? It was a small amount of vomit but still got me worried as he is only 2.5 lbs. Has anyone else had this issue???? I wanted to try other toppers too like peas, coconut oil, and blueberries but now I am scared! HELP!
