I would suggest you learn how to tube feed the puppies so if you run into that issue again, you can successfully nourish the babies.

I feed RC HT42d to all my females, from first day of estrus, thru their 42nd day of gestation. I also have complete lab work done when my ladies are confirmed pregnant. I think it useful to "know for a certainty" where I am with electrolytes, blood count, kidney function. I do not leave anything to guessing or assumption. I recheck electrolytes after the pups are born, and if it is a large litter, I will follow her calcium closely.....crisis prevention rather than crisis management. If momma refused to feed them first time around, she may do it again...be prepared.
