That's what I am thinking too....i created my own little monster by giving in to him. I used to have my bed high enough off the ground so he couldn't jump on and off, and he slept much better through the night that way. Now that he can get on and off the bed, he seems to want to get up more.

I might be feeding him too late at night too. He doesn't typically get his nightly meal until 8pm. I wonder if that is another reason why he doesn't sleep well. I don't usually go to bed until 11 or 12, but maybe that's not enough time for him to digest and go potty.


I think the biggest issue is that I cave in whenever he wants something....and he's learned how to get me to do it. He uses going outdoors as his way to get me to get up and then he will run to the fridge or his treat shelf...or he will paw at me and make noises until he annoys me enough to do it. Thank goodness Ricky isn't quite as smart as he is!! LOL!!
