Two of my cats, Sadie and Bruiser ignore Gizmo and stay upstairs during the day, then come down all night after his bedtime. My other cat Lucy who is 10 and was a hand raised feral baby (all of my cats I bottle fed as they were all feral rescues), and she is having a sibling rivalry with Gizmo. Lucy I believe thinks she is a dog because she rides in the car, goes to a on leash dog park, and does many other dog related activities.

It's funny because I have raised six or seven litters of feral kittens, and Lucy loved the babies and would mommy them, but she Would alienate them as soon as they got big enough to be adopted out. With Gizmo she went from sleeping all the time, to getting up when Gizmo does and goes to Bed at the same time as Gizmo as well. They are like brother and sister. Lucy also growls and hisses at Gizmo, and Gizmo growls and barks at her. At first my husband thought they did not get along, but we soon realized it was how they communicated because the cat can't bark, and the dog can't meow, they both growl :-) it gets ridiculous at times, like when they both want to lay in my lap, that they will sit and argue for hours HAHAHAHA . Gizmo will nip at Lucy's tail, but gently, and Lucy bops Gizmo on the head with the pad of her foot, but with no claws. There have been days they have sent me to bed early just to get away from their bickering over who gets to be where :-) who would have thought that for the last 10 years, all my kitty Lucy needed was a puppy to be her bestest friend :-) it was funny when I had the groomer come, because Lucy is super gentle, but she started hissing and growling when the groomer picked her up, I had to explain to him it was her we way of communicating lol, and of course she was a perfect lady while she got groomed hehe.
