Its funny because he usually sleeps fine during the night and I expect him to get me up once to go out since I do go to bed relatively early (by 9:30 or so) but lately he goes in his crate for an hour then gets me up. I tried putting a towel over his crate to keep it dark which worked for a little while, then he started to whine again. The only thing that seems to make him stop is if I bring him in his crate back downstairs. I don't want to have to do that because I like having him next to me every night, but if this continues, I may have to do that. I'm hoping its just a phase? My mom also told me after she takes her dogs for a good walk, they are ready for bed after that. I would LOVE to take mine for a walk but he's a stubborn little thing. He only wants to walk where he wants to walk. If we get to the end of my driveway, he stops dead in his tracks and doesn't want to go any further except back to the door. Is this a phase I wonder? |
