Well, not that it's any real consolidation, but, alas, you are not alone.

We talked with our vet about this and she said some dogs just like to eat poop. She said we could try a product to make the poo smell bad, like "Forbid" or some of the others, but it's hit or miss if any of those will work. And yes, you have to give it to the animal whose poo he is eating. A friend with the same problem said her vet recommended using "Accent" flavor enhancer to make the poos smell bad.

My sister has a 14 yo dog who likes the poo when they are frozen. Our little Biewer loves them "fresh". And even being outside with them (we have 3 dogs), I can't always keep him from getting to the "goodies" first (when one of the other 2 have gone) and getting a bite. I try to keep him in when I think the other 2 need to poo, but I am not always successful.

I keep hoping he will outgrow this fondness. Only time will tell.
