There are certain garden centers and online stores that sell a repellant that you can put in your garden area to keep cats and other animals away. Usually cats look for and area that has soft ground like a garden that has been worked. They don't dig in hard ground.

We have stray and feral cats all around my property but have never had issues with Gracie getting into anything since she is always with someone when she is outside. I do have indoor cats and we have a large covered litter box that Gracie cannot get into.

I don't know what it is about kitty poo but I have never met a dog that is not attracted to it. It is a disgusting thing but there are ways to deal with the issue.

You might consider keeping a close eye on your little guy when he is outside to make sure he is not out there looking for kitty snacks. If you have a fenced yard you may be able to do something with your fence that will help keep the cats out.
