I have a cat and was very hopeful that they would get along. NO such luck
I have tried to introduce them, many times, but Bailey (dog) starts barking and then my cat hisses
It's a good thing that I have two floors. When Bailey is up he gets the main floor and cat, Kitty (I know, original) gets the upstairs.
When Bailey goes to bed in my room at 8pm, I close the door and Kitty comes d/s.
Perhaps they don't get along as Kitty was 13 when I brought Bailey home.
I still introduce them, but keep my hands on Bailey to move him at a moments notice. Still hopeful though
So glad to hear that there are cats and dogs out there that can live together. How great is that!
